Straight out of Nashville, Tennessee

Yeah, so I suck. I know I haven't been around lately, basically 'cause there's been a lot going on ovah' here, but I'll try to keep all you lovers updated on a more regular basis from now on, okay?

Nashville is still treating me very well. Work is fun, the people are awesome & the weather is hot hot hot. (I'm still pale, entirely my own fault.)

Here's a little sum up for y'all:

Since blogger is being fucked up right now, that's all for this time.

Love & southern accents

April Showers Over Pretty Flowers

It's storming here, big bright lightning & deafening thunder over Nashvegas, Tennessee. I don't think you've ever seen a storm until you've seen a Southern one. It's pretty. It's intense. It's everything a Swedish storm is not.

Otherwise Nashville has been treating me well so far. I live with wonderful people. I have a nice job & I feel really welcomed down here. I get fed & caffienated & they will buy me beer. Yes, it's hot. Yes, there's a train passing right by the house in the middle of the night. Yes, people are fat & talk strange & yes they confuse Sweden with Switzerland all the time. ('So, a lot of mountains, huh?' 'Mmm, chocolate!', ehm, let me think... NO.) But I can't say I really mind it. I think this spring will be bringing many new friendships, experienses & stories to tell, & hey - if not, it sure as hell will bring a sweet tan.

I forgot a womans ice cream today - to go with the brownie. She didn't yell at me though. She was actually being really nice about it. The yelling didn't start until about 10 minutes later, when she came back the second time. People are very certain here on at least on point - how much food they should get on their plates. (The answer is always one & the same too - 'a gross amount'. I guess I'll get a hang of it sooner or later.)

I also realized 'operation stay un-supersized' had better start real soon. There's way too much junk here not to be careful of it. I guess the only real way would be to stop breathing entirely, at least while passing by a MacDonald's / Burger King / Kentucky Fried or Taco Bell (e.a. every other minute). But I don't think I would want to do that. Especially not since this town smells of flowers & Magnolia trees.

Anyways, love to y'all. I promise, I'll try to stay as European as I possibly can over here. Eat with both my fork & knife, actually try to speak in words, not sounds, remember how to walk or what the capital of Estonia is, that kind of things. But I can't promise anything.

Sweet dreams

D. (across a big biiiig sea.)
