Did You Give the World Some Love Today Babe?

& yeah, so, I feel kind of bad for not giving this blog any love, attention or whatever since my giving birth to it a few weeks ago, as I've been occupied trying to learn to love the real world instead. Which admittedly has had its ups & its downs but, due to my newly made promise to myself to try & focus on one subject for more than 30 sec at a time, will be left out of this. I was talking about Meds, which must be feeling much like an unwanted infant at this point.

I'm sorry.

Moving on then. I have exciting news to tell. As it seems, & hastily decided upon within the last 24 h, the female versions of Mr Wikingsson & Herr Hammar (or maybe the female versions of Mr Wikingsson x 2) are to do what the Moops (1.) succeeded in long before them. Watch out Barcelona! Embrace yourselves, late night open bars! Sangria bottles of the world unite! - for a battle you are doomed to lose.

In the beautiful harbour of the beautiful city of Barcelona in the north west corner of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea lays in this very moment, bobbing peacefully on the clear blue waves, & surrounded by its friends & neighbours, a small sail boat totally unaware of what is about to become of its automn. As I've recently learned, my Uncle & some of his friends own a boat situated in Barcelona, where it remains unattended for most time of the year, since, (& something you would've thought that they would've thought of before placing it there) they are not. The harbour is at a 10 min walking distance from the main shopping streak, 5 min
from the closest metro station, & 2 min from your local Laundromat(2.). Were're talking about 8 m of boat here, four bed places in two separate rooms, a shower & a bathroom, a CD-player but no fridge & way to little space for 20 pairs of shoes - just laying there waiting in the sun, locked in, quiet & dusty. I'd say it's probably starting to feel rather lonely by now.

In the beautiful appartment of the Melanders (3.) in the rainy city of Malmö in the south west corner of the boring country of Sweden lay in this very moment - on the floor - two young women (4.), heads together, making plans.

That poor boat won't know what hit it.

& yeah, so, long story short - we soon be forevah (5.). Leaving on a jetplane on the first of October, & actually with no idea of when we might be coming back. I mean, is it that much fun, living on a boat after all? Who'll get sea sick first? How long before we realize, you know, actually speaking a bit Spanish would be useful? Hopefully, by then, we've managed to come up with the Incredible Plan B. I have no doubt in my mind we will have. Because, you know, this is our year, this is the start of our amazing adventures, & I'm sure life holds a hell of a journey in store for us.

The countdown has begun.

Notes

1. See Seinfeld episode 'The Bubble Boy'
2. Something tells me there's irony involved here.
3. That darn Christmas pig is still missing. Anonymous tips very much welcome. Thank you.
4. Meet my lovely, amazing friend & sister in arm, Anja. Age 20, blonde, blue eyes, big mouth & hilarious statements. Loves Hip Hop music, boys with boards (skateboards, snowboards, surfboards, circuit boards - whatever.) caffe lattes, cross word puzzles, feta cheese pie & shopping. This girl is damn Bling, I tell you.
5. Oh, Good luck Dee. Hm, ok - we soon be dot, only double, &, due to our shortcomings in walking very fast, we be a bit larger than dot, more like an eight? Only sideways? You know, forevah? Ah, nevermind.
